The Centre of Excellence for agricultural innovations
The Agriseeds Group Academy acts as the Centre of Excellence for agricultural innovations — the source of innovation and training to ensure industry stability and growth for the next generation of food and plant producers. We aim at developing expertise and partnerships to collaboratively support a transformational vision for the agricultural industry.
The Centre aims at increasing productivity at farm level through the development of innovative and resourceful products, crop varieties and Good Agricultural Practices from well-informed farm trials. It focuses on teaching, learning and research excellence in agricultural productivity under a sustainable environment.

From the classroom to the field, the Academy links Agriseeds' seed and crop-protection expertise with the farmers, students and partners who put it to work.
Training
Short courses and practical sessions on vegetable production, seed production, safe agrochemical use and agri-business, delivered in Kinyarwanda and English.
Research & farm trials
Variety trials and Good Agricultural Practice demonstrations run with research scientists from recognised organisations, adapted to Rwanda's altitudes and climate.
Extension services
Field agronomists follow up trainees on their own farms, supporting out-growers and agro-dealers with agronomy advice from planting to harvest.
Partnerships
We work with cooperatives, NGOs, schools and development partners to design tailored capacity-building programs for their farmer groups.

What our graduates say
"After the vegetable production course my tomato yield almost doubled. The agronomists even came to my farm in Rwamagana to check the nursery."
"The seed production training helped our cooperative become a certified out-grower for EASI Seed. We now have a guaranteed market for our seed."
"My internship at Agriseeds gave me real experience in seed quality control that I could never get in a lecture hall. I was hired as a field agronomist afterwards."
